Adidas launches adipure 360 footwear

In the past three years, adidas Golf has introduced a lineup of golf shoes with something for just about everyone. Sport-style shoes, spikeless shoes and some of the lightest shoes in the industry, the adizero one, have been the company’s focus.
This Spring, though, adidas Golf has released a shoe that it hopes every golf purist will love: the pure 360, its next generation of adipure footwear.
The new shoes, currently available in four different colors and carrying a $250 price tag, feature clean, classic designs combined with the company’s best technologies and materials. All that means the golfer’s foot will move the way it needs to for peak performance on the course.
While the shoes are just now hitting the consumer market, the pure 360 has been in the hands — or on the feet — of adidas Golf Tour staffers since January. Dustin Johnson wore the new pure 360’s at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and had great things to say about them.
“Walking as much as we do out on tour definitely takes its toll,” Johnson said. “Once I started wearing the pure 360, I immediately felt the incredible comfort and felt more refreshed at the end of my round. They’re the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn.”
Designers at adidas Golf didn’t just have professional players in mind when they designed the pure 360’s. With research showing that golfers take an average of 12,000 steps during an 18-hole round, designers knew that shoes played an important role in overall performance.
The pure 360 is designed with a new tour performance last, giving additional support in the midfoot and heel, and new outsole featuring thintech technology with poured polyurethane (PU), which helps the company promote it as its most comfortable and stable shoe ever. The upper portions of the shoe are made with premium leather.
Pay attention during this weekend’s WGC-Cadillac Championship and you’ll certainly see adidas Golf Tour professionals like Johnson and Sergio Garcia sporting the adipure 360 as they work their way around the Blue Monster.

Best looking pear-shaped 3 wood of all time? – GolfWRXers discuss

In our forums, our members have been discussing pear-shaped 3 woods. WRXer ‘GolferDude54’ kicks off the thread, saying:
“I was interested in knowing what 3 wood in the present and past do you guys think has had the best looking profile at address and is pear-shaped to boot, i.e. Titleist 906F2. Like you look down at address, and it just oozes of being aesthetically pleasing to your eye. You can even post more than one 3-wood and a list as well if you are torn between this and that.”
And our members have been sharing their best picks in our forum.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- Dill Pickelson: “I owned the 906f2 and agree it was a perfect looking 3 wood at address. I currently play the rogue st ls 3 wood and also think it looks great at address. This is exactly how I want a 3 wood to look, no triangular 3 woods, no closed face or slight offsets. I also liked the Ping i20 3 wood. It sat very nicely behind the ball.”
- hammergolf: “Hard to beat the Titleist PT. Had one in the bag for almost a decade.”
- Boogs2: “I’ve always liked the Nike T60. Still have one with the steel shaft. Loved how deep-faced it was.”
- puresurfr: “Titleist 970, love the shape, and it was like a sledgehammer when hit on the screws. Honorable mention for Nike T60.”

Scotty Cameron unveils new Special Select Jet Set putters

Scotty Cameron has today introduced the new range of Special Select Jet Set putters.
The limited release features a four-model collection designed for the player looking for a particular design aesthetic in a high-performance configuration with attention to shape, color palette and finish.
Precision milled in the United States from a block of 303 stainless steel, each new Limited Release Special Select Jet Set putter incorporates Scotty’s performance balanced weighting technology featuring customizable sole weights, as well as purpose-built aluminum sole plates designed to optimize weight distribution in the wider profile of the Plus models.
Speaking on the new range, Scotty Cameron said:
“A lot of golfers want to game the same putters the pros play. Our new Special Select Jet Set putters offer a taste of that experience with a few extras that put them in a category of their own. The Tour Black finish is something a lot of people really like, so when I can, I make putters using it combined with dark, smoky accents. The overall tone-on-tone look is inspired by custom car builders, and that’s where the Jet Set name comes from. We’ve offered this concept in years past. This is the next version of Jet Set. Specifically, the ‘Plus’ models that are in between the width of a Newport 2 and a Squareback 2. I developed this “tweener” size working with a few Tour players who wanted something in between the width of a traditional blade and our Squareback flange width. The Special Select Jet Set Newport Plus and Newport 2 Plus offer those desired sizes and happen to be the first we’ve created for everyone. Limited releases like these new Special Select Jet Set models are for those who want a high-performance putter, but also that little extra.”
In addition, the Special Select Jet Set Newport, Special Select Jet Set Newport Plus, Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 and Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 Plus feature custom graphics, a Tour Black finish with a dark, tonal color scheme, a specialized Pistolini Plus grip, shaft band and headcover.
Displaying the evolution of Scotty’s research in bringing the benefits of higher MOI to blade putter shapes, the line’s “Plus” models introduce slightly wider profiles than standard face-to-flange blade dimensions in design to offer maximum performance from a blade putter.
Special Select Jet Set Newport
“A souped-up version of Scotty’s classic heel-and-toe weighted blade, the Special Select Jet Set Newport includes a plumbing neck, the model’s distinctive rounded features and a unique sight line milled on the topline. Precision milled from 303 stainless steel, this limited release putter has a solid face, misted Tour Black finish, adjustable performance balanced raw tungsten sole weighting and includes the line’s new textured Pistolini Plus grip and Jet Set headcover.”
Special Select Jet Set Newport Plus
“Crafted slightly wider when measured from face to flange, the Special Select Jet Set Newport Plus offers a new size in high-performance blade putter design. Relying on proven multi-material design methodology, Scotty accommodated the fuller profile by distributing weight to the perimeter and incorporating a 6061 aircraft grade aluminum sole plate, anodized black and engraved with the line’s Jet Set graphics. A milled flange sight line provides clean alignment, while customizable stainless steel sole weights provide balance. A new, textured Pistolini Plus grip, Jet Set shaft band and specialized headcover complete the package.”
Special Select Jet Set Newport 2
“Designed with the proven shape, plumbing neck and tri-sole of a modern Newport 2, the Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 is milled from 303 stainless steel with customizable tungsten sole weights, a Tour Black finish and the line’s Jet Set graphics package, including a specialty shaft band, headcover and textured Pistolini Plus grip. Incorporating a subtle design characteristic—and inspired by the putters he makes for touring professionals—Scotty included a milled sight line on the topline rather than a standard flange line. A limited number of left-handed Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 models were also created.”
Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 Plus
“Splitting the difference in flange width between a Special Select Newport 2 and Squareback 2, the Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 Plus offers a Tour-inspired shape that introduces the next profile in high-performance blade design. Milled from 303 stainless steel with a solid face, the Newport 2 Plus has a 6061 aircraft grade aluminum sole plate, anodized black and engraved with the line’s Jet Set graphics. A milled flange sight line provides clean alignment, while customizable stainless steel sole weights provide balance. The putter includes the line’s new, textured Pistolini Plus grip, Jet Set shaft band and specialized headcover.”
The limited release Special Select Jet Set putters will be available worldwide on Aug. 19, 2022, at Titleist authorized golf shops, and are priced at $650 each.

With so many options at far better price points, tough sell to be over the $200 mark anymore. Don’t bother trying to tell me about it being a premium product, TMAG has economies of scale down, these likely cost under 10% to make of the asking retail price…

I’d sure like to try these this year, they sure do look like they will have some great cushion to them. Before Truelinkswear came along I wore mainly Adidas everything but the comfort of the TRUES were much better, but now looking at these I can’t wait to try these out and compare the two! Lots of great choices this year between FJ/Adidas/True/ Ecco finally there making both comfort and function that was lacking until TRUE changed the golf shoe industry.

I got 2 pairs of these shoes last month and could not be happier with them. Took them to AZ and right out of the box walked the Upper course at Whisper Rock and they felt as though I had them for a year. Walked 72 holes in 3 days and have no complaints at all. Great fit, and every bit as good, if not better, than the original AdiPure.
I do not understand the comments about the price. They are the premium shoe in the line, and I feel they are worth every penny. I have the brown color coming at the end of the month.

The comments about the price have to do with the fact that there are some really good, comfortable, shoes on the market for much less. Isn’t the DNA under $200?

I got my adipure for 350$ in 2012 so its good to see them going down in price. They are all leather so they look as new as the day i bought them. Just have to put leather conditioner on every 6 months and they will be as good as new for years. You cant beat how good they feel. I have played 2 rounds of golf and my feet still feel great. You get what you pay for when it comes to shoes!

Way too expensive!! Are they kidding with the price of shoes? And the bottoms of the shoes look like their less expensive shoes for some reason too (their other shoes look much more durable and grippy). As a big fan of the 360 ATV’s they’re probably comfortable but just too expensive.

Way too expensive… I like the design though. Comfort is important to me and the adizero line was just too thin all the way around and squished my feet too much. Love my FJ Sport BOAs. I’d rather have 2 pairs of those than 1 pair of these

this is just one of their options. It just so happens to be a premium product of theirs. They offer more affordable options as well.
