S300 shafts though… At 115 G.
That’s still softer then 90% of the Tour.

GREAT to see Patrick win, guys a great golfer, always has been back to NCAA
. Love his clubs, I don’t get all these guys playing clubs way to stiff for them, guess its ego. Here’s a top PGA tour pro and look at that set up. A pro once told me, “play the softest shafts you can control”. CONGRATS Patrick.

Don’t kid yourself. Iron shafts are probably tipped 5 inches and then hard stepped.

Or maybe not. Maybe Patrick doesn’t like to force his irons with the same strength as his driver.

Even still its a 115 gram S flex shaft. Hard stepping twice (.5″ tipping is equivalent to one HS) is like 2/3 of a flex. Moreover, this guy is in the top 15 or so in driving distance rn. Not that that stat is terribly reliable, but he can def bring it.

I don’t think there is a XP115 X Flex (atleast there isn’t in the other shafts in the series) so I wouldn’t be surprised if these are intact hard stepped once or twice to help make the shaft stiffer.

Wait I googled the shaft since it wasn’t listed on the True Temper site when I first looked and there is a X100 in the 115. So there goes everything I just said lol
