Nike to release Air Zoom 90 IT golf shoes
If you’re a golfer who likes to wear sneakers, this new wave of golf shoes designed to look like classic sneakers, primarily driven by Nike, is probably a dream come true.
Recent Sneaker-Inspired Nike/Jordan Golf Shoe Releases
- Nike releases Jordan Trainer ST golf shoes
- Air Jordan 6 Golf shoes will be released
- Jordan to release Flight Runner golf shoes
The latest addition to the golf-sneaker space is Nike’s “Air Zoom 90 IT,” designed after the classic Air Max 90’s, originally created by Nike sneaker genius Tinker Hatfield. The golf versions of the familiar silhouette have a weatherproof “bootie.” In other words, they’re slip-ons. They also have “forefoot Zoom technology” for comfort near the toe, and a full-length midsole made of phylon.
The Air Zoom 90 IT shoes will be available in two colorways; black/white on May 13, and white/black on June 1. Check out more pictures in the gallery below, provided by Nike.

Spotted: Titleist GTS USWO headcovers
GolfWRX Tour Photographer Greg Moore was at Riviera Country Club this last week in Los Angeles for the U.S. Women’s Open. While browsing the photos, I spotted a recent major trend in headcovers. That is, the Titleist GTS headcover line expands the majors theme.
Seen on the bag of Natalia Guseva were the red, white, and blue Titleist GTS covers. This is the third time we have seen limited-edition Titleist major covers, the others being at the Masters and the PGA Championship. But with the launch of the GTS line back at the Texas Children’s Houston Open in March, this is the first time we have seen Titleist come out with major themed head covers for the season (driver headcovers through hybrids).
Check out some photos below.

At the Masters, we saw the familiar Masters green, white, and yellow. While the PGA Championship design was colors synonymous with the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team. This shows the season major drops continue full steam ahead for major OEMs. New opportunities for each major for designs and themes, and who knows, maybe a lucky spark for a player and a major championship for their resume. It gets the wheels turning for what major theme headcover you would keep on your bag for the whole season!

These are slick… hopefully Nike Golf has stepped their game up in the comfort zone. These will fly off the shelf and i think golfers will actually enjoy gaming these. the Jordan golf shoes on the other-hand are terrible in my opinion. Footjoy still king of the hill in golf.

stepped up their game in the comfort zone? Considering they make the most comfortable golf shoes in the industry, is it possible for them to step up their game? Then again, you do quote FootJoy as the king, so more than a few synapses stop short of reaching your brain.
