I believe Ryan used ping S series irons a few years ago so that mignt explain the similar profile if those were a favorite of his.

I know that Ryan has always like a lighter iron shaft. I recall him playing with DGLite or DG SL. But I think they were X100’s. The Nippon 950 is a really light shaft and in S flex — well, that is frankly what I’d expect in an LPGA bag.
Not knocking Ryan, naturally. He was a boss when I first saw him play as an amateur years ago. It’s just very interesting. Maybe they were being used by his dad, and he tried them and loved them and said, “I’m not giving them back.” Or maybe they are heavily tipped. Or maybe there is something else going on that I don’t understand. (I love those situations; it wouldn’t be the first time.)

Very PING S series. And that’s not a bad thing at all.
When they showed the face pic the toe shape and crotch of the topline and wear it meets the hosel looked a lot like the S57’s I had. Again that’s not bad. I actually like them more now.

It’s pretty cool that he just plays whatever he wants without a contract usually. I don’t know if I dig the driver though.
