GolfWRX Spotlight: Cobalt Q-6 Slope rangefinder

Published

on

Product: Cobalt Q-6 Slope rangefinder

Pitch from Cobalt: “Designed for maximizing your game and for providing flexibility, the Q-6 Slope Rangefinder harnesses our Slope technology. Built around premium optics, an integrated, Brilliant Projection Display, a fully adjustable diopter, and housed within a waterproof (IPX7) aluminum housing on a magnesium chassis, the Q-6 Slope is our recommended rangefinder for those looking for the ultimate ranging tool.”

Our take on the Cobalt Q-6 Slope rangefinder

Cobalt Golf set out to engineer the best quality laser rangefinder and made the Q-6 Slope.

The case is extremely solid and coated with a rubber finish that is easy to grab and secure to hold on to. The optics are crystal clear, and we are big fans of the contrast of the red display against a (usually) green backdrop as well as the fact that the brightness can be adjusted on the fly.

You can see a demo of the display below.

The SmartSwitch the Q-6 Slope easily allows you to toggle Slope Mode on and off, and its abundantly clear what mode you’re in, so there’s no anxiety around compliance with USGA tournament regulations!

The aiming is easy and fast, while the PinSense and Surge technologies offering haptic feedback and ensure you lock onto the pin and not a distant tree.

We think the Q-6 Slope is a unit that you know will give you accurate distances for years to come, and the optional engraving ($30) is a nice touch.
