#WWBD: What will Bubba do at the Phoenix Open?

Published

on

Bubba Watson, arguably the most prolific PGA Tour Tweeters and one if its most entertaining personalities, has teamed up with his new sponsor, Oakley, for a dynamic social media promotion that you can be a part of.

If you follow the long-hitting lefty on Twitter (@bubbawatson) you may have seen the #WWBD hashtag and wondered what was going on. Wonder no more.

Here are the facts:

WWBD = “What What Bubba Do,” or alternatively, “What Will Bubba Do”

Watson is asking his nearly 800,000 followers for suggestions as what he should do when he approaches the raucous 16th green Friday at this week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open.

So far, the “Wobble” has been suggested, in addition to many scenarios involving the General Lee. You can follow along with #WWBD hashtag, here.

Bubba will pick the winning suggestion and the winner will:

  1. Get to see the longest hitter on the PGA Tour obeying his/her command at the greatest party hole in golf.
  2. Receive signed merchandise and memorabilia from the golfer himself.

Send your suggestions to Bubba Watson on Twitter (@bubbawatson) using the hashtag #WWBD or #VivaLaBubba for your chance to win.

Then, keep an eye on Bubba’s Twitter handle to see which tweet he selects, and by all means, tune into the coverage of the Phoenix Open on Friday to see the magic of social media at work.

Oakley, for its part, has the best suggestion so far, in my humble opinion:
