Spotted: New Odyssey Ai-One and Ai-One Cruiser putters

Published

on

Odyssey’s Ai-One putters have been extremely popular on tour as many touring professionals have put them in play.

Typically Odyssey gives golfers a ton of options when it comes to head and neck styles, and there are more at the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. There were also some Cruiser models on the putting green. Odyssey is labeling the longer length, heavier head, and counterbalanced models as “Crusiers.”

A head shape that hasn’t been made in a few years, and a GolfWRX member favorite, the No. 9 was also seen on the practice green. The No. 9 was made famous by Phil Mickelson, and is a small heel-shafted blade that offers extreme toe hang for players who really want to feel the toe swing through impact.

The Jailbird has been one of the most asked-for head shapes after we saw Rickie Fowler, Wyndham Clark, and others finding success with it. The Jailbird was accompanied by the smaller Jailbird Mini, and now with the Jailbird Cruiser, there is an option for anyone who walks by the Odyssey staff bag on the putting green.

The Jailbird models also feature Odyssey’s Versa paint scheme, but it is done in dark navy blue and white to go with the Ai-One colors.

Odyssey’s 2-Ball putter is one of the bestselling shapes golf has ever seen. GolfWRX spotted a few versions with the new Ai-One face on the green. The 2-Ball wasn’t part of the initial Ai-One launch, but it looks like we are going to get it now for the players who love this unique head shape and alignment system. To go with the traditional double bend shaft there was also this slant neck model that featured a single siteline through the two white balls on the top of the putter. (Update: Per Callaway, the 2-Ball is available for pre-order now and will be in stores 2/9)

Finally, we get what might be one of the more interesting Odyssey No. 7 models ever released, a long or broomstick version. This Odyssey Ai-One No. 7 Cruiser has the shaft installed into the center of the head. The shaft being placed here allows for the correct head balancing and upright lie angle needed for those long broomstick putters. This head is heavier than a standard No. and has a split, two-piece grip installed on it.

Meet the new line of putters, same as the old line of putters.
