Vokey adds limited edition 58, 60 V-grind to WedgeWorks lineup

Published

on

Vokey announced today it is adding 58 and 60-degree V-grind wedges to the WedgeWorks roster. As with all WedgeWorks offerings — such as the recently announced 64W (Vokey launches limited edition WedgeWorks 64W), the 58 and 60V were developed with input from tour pros around the world.

According to Vokey, The V-grind is the ultimate wedge for players who demand increased bounce on square-faced shots and enhanced relief on open-faced shots. When you need to hit a full shot, the V-grind’s high measured bounce forward on the sole has a player covered. When it’s time to open up the face, the grind offers versatility through heel, toe, and trailing edge sole relief. The leading edge stays closer to the ground, giving a golfer more control and precision.

“This wedge is ideal for golfers that play in normal to soft soil conditions, as well as on courses where the bunkers have more sand,” Vokey said. “It is also ideal for players with neutral to steeper angles of attack who still like to open the face when hitting shots around the green.”

Visually, the WedgeWorks V Grind is similar to the SM9 T Grind, with its narrow forward sole and aggressive heel, toe, and trailing edge relief. However, the V Grind has a higher effective bounce than the T Grind, making it the better choice for players with a neutral to steep angle of attack on fuller swings and around the green. On the other hand, the T Grind is designed for players with a more shallow delivery.
