Best forgiving low spin driver – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing drivers. WRXer ‘RoryLox’ is on the hunt for a forgiving, low spin driver and kicks off the thread saying:

“What’s the most forgiving low spin driver out there right now? Can be from the last 5-10 years. Doesn’t have to be a current model. I’m playing SIM2 Max right now, and it doesn’t seem to be very forgiving or low spin. Looking for something new.”

And our members have been sharing their best picks in our forum.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • RainShadow: “Ping G400, 410 or 425 LST models. Not the lowest of low spin, but super forgiving.”
  • simonizer: “Epic Max LS is just about right with an LAGP Trono 65 S shaft.”
  • HedgeHog: “I have found my G425 Max head to be low spin even though it’s forgiving. Last year I had the RAD XB, and it hovered around 2000 for me, so I would say modern forgiving drivers are low spin. Everything depends on your delivery and striking.”
  • A.Princey: “TEE C721. Won the TXG driver bracket. It fits your needs perfectly too.”

Three Swing Challenge: Testing the Edel Array F-2 putter

Published

on

This week on the Three Swing Challenge, we have the Edel Array F-2 putter. With the Array line of putters, Edel gives golfers several different options to match their putting styles and tendencies. It is a cool concept, but let’s see how it performs.

Why three swings?

Many years ago, the legendary Barney Adams, founder of Adams Golf told us this:

“My formula as a fitter was three shots only. I discounted No. 1 just because it was the first one, counted 100 percent of No. 2 and discounted No. 3 because the player was starting to adjust.”
