TaylorMade P770 vs Srixon ZX7 irons – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been pitting two powerhouse irons against each other. WRXer ‘The Ultimate Hack’ wants to know which irons our members rate higher, TaylorMade’s P770 or Srizon’s ZX7, with the ZX7 currently coming out on top.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • third-times-a-charm: “P770 overall. Feel? ZX7. Distance? P770. Looks? Toss up. Forgiveness? P770.”
  • jacobanderson123: “Comparing a fully forged head vs a hollow-headed iron. Depends on what you want. If you purely want distance, go P770. If you want better feel, go ZX7. They’re not exactly comparable irons.”
  • rcolwell7: “ZX7, for me based mostly on the sole design and feel. I’m not after a ton of forgiveness or distance. The P770s always felt too muted for my liking. Sold away a set of P7MCs/P770s so that I could buy the ZX7s.”
  • Tarheelnation: “ZX7, and it’s not close…but that’s just my opinion.”
  • 8602091: “If I was sub 10 handicap… ZX7. P770 for forgiveness.”
