GolfWRX Spotted: New PXG Gen4 drivers and 2021 putters

Some people like to say “the West Coast is the best coast,” and as far as kicking off the PGA Tour season with events and new equipment, it’s hard to argue.

At the American Express last week won by Si Woo Kim, we got our first in-hand look at the Gen4 drivers from PXG which were spotted only a few weeks ago on the conforming equipment list – GolfWRX Spotted: PXG Gen4 drivers on conforming list

As per our initial reports, the PXG Gen4 driver line looks to include a number of models to cater to varying player types and appears to be using some sort of high strength Aluminum Vapor (AV) carbon composite to save mass from the crown.

Although we don’t have official confirmation of the technology built into the crown, the Aluminium Vapor would be the logical explanation based on the two-tone look and how the material shares the visual of the Mitsubishi Chemical AV Raw golf shafts.

We also spotted some updated putter models including the below Brandon which has newly positioned tungsten weights at the extreme rear to further enhance MOI and forgiveness compared to the current model which only features much smaller weights.
