Kevin Kisner had a hilarious response when asked if he can win anywhere on tour

Kevin Kisner is teeing it up at this week’s Sony, and during Wednesday’s press conference, Kisner alluded to the fact that this week’s course is one that suits his game.
The 36-year-old is often absent at some of the bigger ballparks hosting events early in the season, such as Torrey and Riviera, and with the U.S. Open being held at the former this year his chances of winning, in his view at least, are already over.
When asked on Wednesday if he can win anywhere on tour, Kisner was as transparent as ever – which led to one of the best exchanges between player and media that you’re likely to see all year.
Reporter: You can win anywhere, can’t you?
Kisner: Probably not…..I’m not going to win at Bethpage Black or Torrey Pines.
Reporter: So, why show up?
Kisner: Because they give away a lot of money for 20th.
Check out the interaction below, which features Kisner at his deadpan best.
I love @K_Kisner.

Kisner isn’t wrong either, with 20th place at the U.S. Open from Torrey Pines this year offering up in the region of $150,000.

If I put “3rd” at the ‘91 US Amateur on my resume, how many people do you think will actually check that?

Davis Love III appointed U.S. captain for 2022 Presidents Cup – GolfWRXers react

In our forums, our members have been discussing Davis Love III’s appointment as the U.S. captain for the 2022 Presidents Cup. WRXer ‘MattyO1984’ kicks off the thread, and is perplexed with the decision, saying:
“No doubt, someone of the pedigree that you would expect to see as Captain but it doesn’t really seem to fit in well with the future planning that the US was seemingly engaged in when it comes to better preparing for the Ryder Cup.
In saying that, I realise that the Presidents Cup is run by the PGA Tour and the Ryder Cup buy the PGA, but it still seems strange nonetheless.”
And our members have been sharing their thoughts on the appointment in our forum.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- caniac6: “Recycled Ryder Cup Captain. I can’t believe there isn’t anyone else in line. This should be an audition to become future Ryder Cup Captain, not a landing spot for past captains.”
- Kramer1997: “Should’ve given it to Tiger again.”
- iBanesto: “David Toms is not a consideration?”

I kind of love this take….
Same could be said for every single era of golfers when looking back a previous eras. Most eras had a vocal few who were appalled at the “state” of the game and yet with Jones it grew, with Palmer and Nicklaus it grew, with Woods and Se-ri Pak it grew. The game has aged well. https://t.co/AujtrIbyim
