Bridgestone Golf joins Tiger Woods and PopStroke in family-oriented putting venues with new e6 as official golf ball

Published

on

Bridgestone Golf has today announced that the new e6 golf ball will be the official choice of PopStroke.

A partnership between TGR, Tiger Woods Ventures and PopStroke Entertainment Group, PopStroke is a family-oriented, hi-tech putting entertainment business. With the new partnership, all PopStroke customers will play and then take home Bridgestone’s new e6, which features a lower compression core and maximum soft feel.

Tiger himself fits into Bridgestone’s TOUR B XS model, which will be available for purchase at all PopStroke locations, including three new spots scheduled to open in 2021 in Orlando, Palm Beach, and Scottsdale, Arizona.

On Bridgestone’s e6 ball being the choice for this venture, Tiger Woods said

“I’ve trusted Bridgestone to manufacture my golf ball for the better part of 20 years. I place an extremely high value on quality and consistency in my equipment so the new e6 is a natural choice for this venture.”

The putting entertainment company currently has two venues – one in Port St. Lucie and one in Fort Myers, Florida, with many more to come. Each new PopStroke location will feature putting courses designed by Tiger Woods’ TGR Design.

Speaking on the new partnership, Dan Murphy, President and CEO of Bridgestone Golf, stated

“This is an exciting initiative to be a part of for Bridgestone. Tiger has had a positive effect on the game of golf in so many ways and his ability to attract new players to the sport is incomparable. We’re very pleased that our new e6 golf ball will be enjoyed by every PopStroke customer.”

PopStroke aims to offer more than an entertainment venue that combines golf with premium food and drink; this premium experience is also designed to offer an opportunity to introduce new players to the game in a fun and welcoming environment.

“Some of my happiest memories are spending time with my pops on the golf course having putting contests, and now I do the same with my kids. I look forward to others enjoying time with their families at PopStroke. This is a new way for individuals to experience the game of golf. It’s about bringing people together.” – Tiger Woods

What’s the perfect mini-driver/shaft combo? – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing Mini-Drivers and accompanying shafts. WRXer ‘JamesFisher1990’ is about to purchase a BRNR Mini and is torn on what shaft weight to use, and our members have been sharing their thoughts and set ups in our forum.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • PARETO: “New BRNR at 13.5. Took it over to TXG (Club Champ but TXG will always rule) in Calgary for a fit. Took the head down to 12, stuck in a Graphite Design AD at 3 wood length and 60g. Presto- numbers that rivaled my G430Max but with waaaaay tighter dispersion. Win.”
  • driveandputtmachine: “Still playing a MIni 300.  The head was only 208, so I ordered a heavier weight and play it at 3 wood length.  I am playing a Ventus Red 70.   I play 70 grams in my fairways.  I use it mainly to hit draws off the tee.  When I combine me, a driver, and trying to hit a draw it does not work out well most of the time.  So the MIni is for that. As an aside, I have not hit the newest BRNR, but the previous model wasn’t great off the deck.  The 300 Mini is very good off the deck.”
  • JAM01: “Ok, just put the BRNR in the bag along side a QI10 max and a QI10 3 wood. A load of top end redundancy. But, I have several holes at my two home courses where the flight and accuracy of the mini driver helps immensely. Mine is stock Proforce 65 at 13.5, I could see a heavier shaft, but to normal flex, as a nice alternative.”
