Bettinardi unveils new 2021 Studio Stock, Queen B and Inovai putters

Published

on

Bettinardi Golf has introduced their all-new production putter lines, the 2021-22 StudioStock, Queen B series, and Inovai 7.0, which are available to pre-order on Bettinardi.com today.

The new additions from the company have been inspired, and refined directly from Tour feedback, and feature a variety of face milling technologies, including Bettinardi’s latest Roll Control Face which is featured on the 2021 Studio Stock series.

‘Performance-driven’ – Stock Studio Series

The 2021 Studio Stock series adds 7 putters, starting with the Studio Stock 17 with the first-ever soft Tri-sole design in a production lineup, as well as the Studio Stock 18 blade. From a high toe topline on the SS17 to a low profile body on the 18, both models incorporate Tour features designed for golfers of every profile.

The studio stock series putters feature the brand’s all-new Roll Control Face. With the Roll Control Face, milling was scientifically engineered with an asymmetrical design groove profile that bids to promote more topspin at impact, while shortening the distance the ball takes to get into a pure roll with each putt.

Speaking on the new Roll Control Face, Head of Product Dan Debartolo said

“We are confident in the development of the new Roll Control Face after significant testing and R&D. The numbers speak for themselves; this face really shows the highest consistency and feel of a true roll at every putt.”

Precision milled from 303 stainless steel; the line also reintroduces the SS7 compact half-moon mallet (available in LH) and the multi Tour-winning SS28 (available in a traditional Spud Neck, Center Shaft, and Armlock option).

‘Elegant, Tour-Proven’ – Queen B Series

The redesigned 2021 Queen B series continues with the return of the multi-Tour winning Queen B 6 wide-body blade. The upgraded series also features two completely new models, the Queen B 11, a compact mallet with the signature Bettinardi crescent neck, and the Queen B 12, a fresh look on a traditional-style blade.

Each Queen B putter was precision-milled from a single block of Soft Carbon Steel to 362 grams and has been completed in a durable Rose Gold PVD finish.

Speaking on the redesigned 2021 Queen B series, Founder Robert Bettinardi said

“It’s the ultimate in both performance and aesthetic charm. Our new Rose Gold finish is absolutely beautiful, and makes the line an unmatched work of art.

The timeless look and feel of our new models channel the successful PGA and LPGA Tour-winning history of this series, and reflects Bettinardi’s ability to combine tradition with innovation.”

The Queen B series features newly-softened edges and sleeker enhancements designed to provide optimized visuals at address. Additionally the series also includes Micro Honeycomb Face Milling on each model, which is designed for players who are conscious of speed and prefer a firm, responsive feel at impact.

‘High MOI’ – INOVAI 7.0

The Inovai 7.0 is added alongside the Inovai 6.0 to extend the series to provide what the company calls ‘MOI with feel’. The Inovai 7.0 is the highest MOI putter ever produced by Bettinardi, 30 percent higher than the 2003 U.S. Open model it was inspired by.

Precision-milled from 303 Stainless Steel and 6061 Military-Grade Aluminum, the bi-metal technology is designed to optimize weight distribution with more mass in the rear of the putter in a bid to provide maximum forgiveness and stability.

The 7.0 is offered in three unique neck options, including spud, slant and center shaft, and each putter comes with Bettinardi’s softest-feeling face milling, the F.I.T. (Feel Impact Technology) Face.

“It’s rare that a company gets an opportunity to tap into the heritage of a Major-winning putter, and bring it into the new decade. While the 7.0 is inspired from past success, the model is completely upgraded with our new bi-metal technology, combining Bettinardi’s values of heritage and innovation to offer confidence-inspiring looks with modern performance benefits.” – Sam Bettinardi

Availability

The 2021-22 StudioStock, Queen B series, and Inovai 7.0 are all available to pre-order today from Bettinardi.com and will be shipped domestically in January, and worldwide in February 2021.

Think you can order the SS28 with a slant neck from their custom shop.

That’s what I’m going to do!

The 2021 Studio Stock line with the new grooves looks awesome. The only thing missing IMO is an SS28 model with a mid-slantneck.

Adidas X Vice Golf launch The Vice Golf Shoe by Adidas

Published

on

Adidas has teamed up with Vice Golf to launch the new Vice Golf Shoe inspired from off the course which includes a dozen Vice Pro Drip Lime x Adidas golf balls.

The Vice Golf Shoe from Adidas contains ultraboost and a signature lime-green colorway to accent the designs for life both on and off the golf course. The shoe features a camouflage pattern in gray and white on the top of the shoe, while a brand-new drip pattern decorates the boost material at the bottom.

The shoe features branding “discoverables”, such as a subtle Vice logo on the tongue of the shoe while a collab logo is celebrated within. The company’s motto “Embrace Your Vice” runs down the spine of the heel, while another Vice logo lives underneath the 3-stripe caging on the inside of the foot.

If golfers want a brighter color pop, the alternate neon lime laces give that option.

“Based in Bavaria like Adidas, we have always looked up to this global ambassador and brand that has made big moves in both the golf and footwear in recent years. It is a great honor to finally present the result of 22 months of work with tears of happiness when the final pair of shoes arrived” – Vice Golf founder and CEO Ingo Duellmann

In addition to the shoe, the packaging of the Vice Golf Shoe by Adidas is made to look, feel and act exactly like their signature golf ball packages.

The bottom of the box is wrapped in a neon lime camouflage pattern, and the top cover features the exact, embossed Vice logo colored in neon lime drip pattern as seen and felt on the brand’s golf ball packaging. The connection continues after lifting the lid and discovering an actual box of Vice Pro Drip Lime golf balls, with Adidas logos, sitting in its own compartment.

The Vice Golf Shoe from Adidas (plus one dozen Vice Pro Drip Lime X Adidas golf balls) costs $219.95 and is available to purchase from December 7, 2020, 11 AM EST at ViceGolf.com.

Best blade for 2020/2021 – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing the best blade irons from the new releases. WRXer ‘hypergolf’ asks for opinions on what blade iron has stood out from the rest this year and our members have been having their say in our forums.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • Chuck905: “Taylormade P7MB surprisingly stands out to me. Sharp looks and solid feel. Performance is consistent.”
  • Golfingfanatic: “Miura Giken TB-Zero.”
  • bladehunter: “Domestic It’s blueprint. And it’s not close. Mp20 has very smallish short irons. Similar to 6 iron shape. Which are odd. You need taller faces, in my opinion, for scoring clubs. My least favorite Mizuno MB in a while. Mp5 and mp68 being the best recent ones. But I’d second the TB-zero above for all markets.”
  • Nard_S: “High end, like the TB Zero. Average pricing, really like the P7. The TB offers a bunch of custom options that go beyond stamping and lie/loft, and they are Miura’s, which is never a bad thing. The P7 has a clean, unique look, love the 3D diamond muscle, minimal offset and stance. I could buy those tomorrow; I could buy the TB for a “I’m special” occasion which perhaps is never, lol.”
  • The_Champ: “Ping blueprint… and it’s not even close.”
