Nike to release matte black Vapor Fly drivers

Published

on

While the blue-and-volt colorways of the Nike Vapor Fly line of golf clubs make golfers stand out, Nike’s new limited-edition release is made to help them blend in. As part of the “Stay Hidden. Be Seen” pack, Nike is releasing Nike Vapor Fly and Vapor Fly Pro drivers with a matte black crown.

The drivers will be available along with a line of clothing that includes camouflage, reflective and black designs on polos, shorts, jackets, shoes, hats and more. Check out some of the gear in the photo below.

The collection will be available on nike.com and select retailers starting May 7.

Love this color scheme but I spoke with Nike and because it is a limited release they are offering no optional shafts. For the Pro it is S+60 in R or S only…

Every time I see the Nike logo I feel like I have thrown inside of a time machine that is stuck in the 1970’s – and these new B&W offerings remind me of the Leave it to Beaver reruns that once followed the Brady Bunch reruns back in the 1970’s.

There’s something about this that’s so black, it’s like how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

I don’t know about that, but it goes to 11.5, which is one and half more if everything is at ten.

Sweet looking driver. I’m sure all the country club folks are gonna loooove the camo apparel!

So the game is all about the prototypical “country club folk”? Golf needs to stop being so stiff and self absorbed. I love the game, but could do without this thought process. Im not into camo on or off the course, but I love what Nike is doing here.
