Michael Billings, did you have a bad club fitting experience? Holy cow man, let it go, give yourself a chance to heal. Most importantly, don’t be mad at Zach, I mean the guy has won two majors & made a late equipment change, give him a chance to get his bag right while you’re getting your mind right. I bet your fitter set you up with a shiny new set of PXG’s top to bottom, and your #’s were 5x’s better than your current gamers. Thoughts of 68’s danced in your head, until he gave you the price run down. It’s ok man, someone will make a compulsive purchase and you’ll find a good deal on eBay or even here!
In the meantime, do some yoga, some deep breathing excercises, and most importantly some research. NOBODY cares about things matching, only things WORKING. Zach, nor anyone else on tour is using FLIGHTSCOPE, they are using TRACKMAN, because the darn guy used to track missiles. What did the guy who made Flightscope do? Finally, fitting is all about “getting the best shafts for the swing you had that day”. Throw in a little miss protection in lie angle or grip size and one has a happy hacker. How should a fitting work in your eyes? Should it be a two week, 14 session process that somehow accounts for and manages each flaw and swing version the average amateur player possesses? Shouldn’t the player be held accountable for his/her own swing and creating a higher % of repeatability? But then again, a good fitting will promote just that. Do yourself a favor and find a better fitter & try it again, you obviously got hosed the 1st go round.
