Scotty Cameron unveils limited-edition Squareback, My Girl putters
Scotty Cameron is introducing two new limited-edition putters, the Squareback Limited and the 2013 My Girl, which will be shipping January 2014.
Squareback Limited
The Squareback Limited putter explores new concepts in materials, weight distribution and structurally integrated alignment cues, according to the putter company. The 6061 aluminum sole plate pops through the precision milled 303 stainless steel body, providing a unique visual alignment aid in Scotty’s red dot format. To clarify, “pop through” literally means the nine red alignment dots are part of the aluminum sole plate that is used to reduce weight in the center of the head. If the piece were to be removed, there would be nine holes in the flange of the putter.
Only 750 of these hand crafted prototype putters have been made, which also have a custom milled shaft rings with translucent red paint to match their red Pistelero grips and Cameron’s “Very Cherry” headcovers.
2013 My Girl
The 12th appearance of Scotty Cameron’s My Girl limited-edition putter also has a lightweight, anodized 6061-aluminum pop-up sole plate that shows through as a stylized flower inlay.
You’ll also find the milled shaft ring with hand painted sunshine yellow and bright white flowers complementing the floral-themed headcover and white Pistolero grip.
Check out more photos of the putters in the gallery below.

This is the perfect blog for anyone who would like to understand this
topic. You realize a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I
actually will need to…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic that’s been written about for a long time.
Wonderful stuff, just wonderful!

Everyone grow up and go and buy your cheap sale putters and over spin putters. Don’t bother spending your money on these. Thanks.

I have access to several original Scotty Cameron putters (prior to Titleist and circle T), that simply have Scotty’s name stamped in them. Is there a market for these?

I do and always will love Scotty Cameron putters. I agree that the flower is a bit much, but it’s meant to be a collectible. Not the one in the bag. The SB is a visual/aesthetic aid. Exact same as a versa or ghost putters; an experiment that might help some golfers, might not with others. I will agree that this year is lacking the wow factor. Look at the Scotty ButtonBack; it was a limited release putter that is craved 6-7 years later. I would love to see a 2015 version of the Button Back. That baby would sell!!

Scotty Cameron putters used to be works of art not artwork. Remember the old terylliums, they were beautiful. These, I’m afraid are just a bit too tacky…….

I have the square back and it is fantastic. sits behind and frames the ball nicely and puts a great roll on the ball. It is noticeably softer when struck dead center, a little off of center and the feeling is a little firmer.

I got the My Girl for my daughter. It’s very well balanced and rolls the ball beautifully. The comments here are typical of the usual jealous haters… Leave the limited edition stuff to winners and go get your stuff at Wall Mart. Its fine with us…

Pete, how did you buy it or where?? I want a “My Girl Putter” to use as an actual putter not a collectible… Does it work well?

Flower power putters? I have been a long time SC fanatic but it seems that they are loosing focus. Their new product range looks more art (which by the way I don’t like) than golf oriented . If this goes on please count me out.

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you
know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in
two different browsers and both show the same results.

Whats the point he comes out with these limited pieces and who knows how but a few people buy them up and then sell them all over e bay for a ridiculous profit. How about 1 per scotty cameron club member then the rest to the general public. These are ridiculous and way over priced already.

Scotty Cameron putters are far from overrated. While the one I bought didn’t work out for me, the consistency of Cameron’s putters are second to none. A Newport will truly perform like a Newport, the quality control is there. If I wanted another heel toe blade, Cameron would be first on my list to try.

These look terrible. It reminds me of Nike trying to come up with a flashy new shoe. I love Scotty Cameron putters, because I associate them with class and quality. These look like metal carnival prizes. How does this help you putt better? I thought SC was all about making a great putter, not just abstract art. Nothing about these helps you sink a putt. Again, I love Scotty Cameron putters, but the brand is declining. If SC had stock I would be selling. He doesn’t care anymore.

I keep thinking this is a sort of a test on how bad they cane be and STILL get people to pay top $$$$$ for it.
Or a joke,,,,,,,,

Those are terrible. What’s wrong with a simple sight line? Wow….a limited release Scotty I want nothing to do with….that’s a first.

I completely agree. Usually when I see the limited run stuff I’m impressed with some piece of it, whether its an unusual but cool looking face, sole or shaft, but these are just ugly.
I had the Scotty bug for a while, and bought a few, and enjoyed them, but I think I have it out of my system now. The new stuff just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Sell Out!!
Jan 10, 2014 at 9:03 am
When does someone who professes to have genuine love for making putters become a sell-out…
Answer:
When you put a giant flower on the back flange of a putter.

These look like something you find at Wal-Mart,,, I seriously doubt Don Cameron is the approving authority for Scotty Cameron putters and those decisions are now made by FILA,,,, the ugliest so far,,,,

Might be the ugliest Cameron putters I have ever seen. Reminds me of some Japanese animé. What direction is Cameron going in with these two putters and why release 2013 in January of 2014?

Those look absolutely lovely. I agree with Nick’s sentiment in the comment above that, aesthetically, looking down at the flower each and every putt may be a bit much. But the Squareback version is special.

the my girl line is a collectible line. can’t say this is like the other ones though, this one is much more “tacky” if you will than the previous ones with sole stamps
