Spotted: Tommy Fleetwood’s TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver
Tommy Fleetwood showed up to the RBC Heritage this week with an unreleased TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver the bag.
We don’t have any specs or release details on this new BRNR, but by the markings on the face it looks to have a ZATECH Titanium Face and a titanium chassis There is a carbon fiber crown done in a dark copper hue and a retro TaylorMade “T” alignment mark. The sole has two movable weights, one at the back and one behind the face, and it looks like Tommy is running a 13g in the rear.
We can’t tell the weight of the front weight, but it seems that you can move a heavier weight forward to lower spin or move it back to help increase the forgiveness. The BRNR has TaylorMade’s adjustable hosel sleeve and Tommy has his set one click in the lower setting making the head play .75 degrees lower in loft and opening up the face around 1.5 degrees. A Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6 X shaft rounds out the club build and
Tommy’s caddie told our Andrew Tursky that he has really been liking the club.

I love the mini drivers – lower spin adjustability is awesome. Would be ideal if the loft would start at 10 then 12.5. 13.5 is worthless with all the rocket heads out there.

so it doesn’t have a bubble shaft in it, that’s a bummer. The clubhead looks sweet though.
