Back in 2017, it was still the AT&T Byron Nelson and Billy Horschel was still a full-bag PXG staffer. The Florida Gator leveraged those wares to a playoff victory over Jason Day securing his fourth PGA Tour win in the process.

That must be an old file photo, because he’s got a HZRDUS smoke shaft in whatever he’s swingin’ in this picture.

Nothing about Barkley’s swing would suggest that he use an x stiff shaft.

I was about to ask same thing, he probably have X shafts, but they are useless in his case.
Like in most amateur cases, but hey, you looks like a pro even slicing and hooking it everywhere!

Fore sure. Stiff maybe, but not x-flex. He would have to carry the ball 260 according to MCA’s website and I don’t see Chuck doing that even on a good day. Maybe it’s a ego thing for him.

Barkley is a big guy, with heavy arms.
Heavy arms create huge momentum p=mv
The deceleration at impact(kinematic sequence) puts big stresses on the shaft: bending, droop, twisting…all good reasons for shaft tip to be as stiff as possible.
PS happy to see Charles golf swing improved once he got away from Haney.
