Ben Hogan Golf introduces new Club Fitter and Builder Program
Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company has introduced its new Club Fitter and Builder Program—allowing accredited club fitters and builders to buy Ben Hogan-branded club heads directly from the company for use in their custom club building businesses.
Through the new Club Fitter and Builder Program golfers can now purchase 100% forged clubs for approximately half the price of competitive tour-quality equipment sold through traditional retail channels.
Speaking on the new service, Scott White, CEO, Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company, stated
“Just like our factory-direct-to-consumer business model, which eliminates retail mark-up, this new club fitter’s program offers high-performance forged club head pricing that is unmatched in the industry. It will allow club builders to offer their customers the best golf equipment in the world at the best pricing, while still recognizing a strong profit margin.
Selling directly to serious golfers at BenHoganGolf.com has proven to be a highly successful business strategy for the Company, but more important, it’s a convenient, efficient and cost-effective way for serious golfers to purchase great golf equipment. Now, through these nationwide club fitter partnerships, we can offer Ben Hogan golf equipment through a secondary channel and while further enhance the custom golf club experience for golfers.”:
The company also provides a risk-free demo program, as well as a Trade-up program where golfers can offset the cost of their new purchases by selling used equipment back to the company.
Ben Hogan Golf’s new Club Fitter and Builder Program is currently available for use at BenHoganGolf.com.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
