Tour Edge EXS 220 Iron

Tour Edge has officially launched its new Exotics EXS 220 hollow-body iron sets – the EXS 220 and EXS 220h.

Both the new EXS 220 and EXS 220h iron sets feature SpiderWeb Variable Face Thickness technology located behind the face – designed to act as a web across the face to enhance the sweet spot in every direction.

The new irons from Tour Edge contain a ramped sole which looks to offer more relief on the heel and toe for smoother turf interaction, while a new notch hosel has been engineered for easier bending +/- 4 degrees for expert custom fitting.

The Tour Edge EXS 220 and EXS 220h irons also feature LaunchPad Technology – a TPE polymer housed in the internal cavity insert that has been coated with a special performance gel that is designed to absorb shock and offer players a more significant spring effect.

Each iron set is power lofted which aims to provide golfers with added distance gains without compromising the same launch characteristics and apex heights as traditional lofts. The new irons also feature progressive offsets and blade lengths from iron to iron.

Speaking on the new additions, Tour Edge’s master club designer David Glod stated

“These two new irons sets take us into the realm of offering next-level distance coupled with extreme forgiveness in both game improvement and super game improvement designs. We have long been a trail blazer in hollow-body irons. These two gorgeous iron designs encompass every performance benefit this emerging technology provides.”

The EXS 220 iron set is a split set featuring both hollow body and deep undercut designs. The hollow-body long irons of the EXS 220 set (4-7) feature a forged maraging steel 450 Cup Face, while the deep undercut scoring irons (8-GW) contain a 431-stainless-steel construction.

Tour Edge EXS 220 Iron

Tour Edge’s new EXS 220 irons feature a 19-gram Tungsten weight, designed for extreme toe weighting and a greater sweet spot, and arrive in a platinum chrome finish.

The EXS 220h iron set is a completely hollow-body super game improvement set. The ‘h’ in ‘220h’ designates a hybrid iron set, and the new additions feature a high Moment of Inertia (MOI) and a deeper CG (Center of Gravity) due to its shallower face, and wider sole, which aims to provide players with maximum forgiveness due to the expanded perimeter weighting.

Tour Edge EXS 220h Iron

The Cup Face design of the EXS 220h aims to provide improved ball speeds off the face at impact, and the irons arrive in a brushed black satin finish made from 17-4 steel.

The stock shaft options for the new EXS 220 and EXS 220h iron sets are based in line with swing speed for optimal fitting with the irons equipped with the following shaft for golfers in each category
