Love the fact he’s still playing Nike irons. Good irons are good irons no matter how many golfwrxers put them down.

Glad to see Kevin win his first tournament finally. Very surprised to see him using the Nike ball still. Thought most pros would have switched since they will no longer be produced. Probably will soon get a nice endorsement now that he is a winner. With all the talent on PGA tour now it’s very hard to win and by his reaction after making that putt shows how much it meant to him.

The player not the gear but getting back to something he had more mileage on iron wise helped settle things in for the win. It is interesting watch the Nike players some just straight out switch, others are taking time and experimenting. While yes, there may have been $$ in having a sponsored bag of gear the win is bigger and if he continues to stay solid, he is getting good exposure in mags too, the sponsors will shell out even more to get him. Most interesting that he did drop the Nike 5w and switch to full matched set. The fact that he is playing his old ball too – using the irons and ball that he knows the flight, control and distance

I tested the Mizzy tour that a lot of the guys are playing on tour without a Mizuno. I love it. Super solid. Traditional lofts for the most part I believe. Pretty forgiving for such a compact head.

He banked some coin, but from a club and ball deal perspective, look at the money he missed out on in contract bonuses.

It’s so interesting to see the clubs these Nike guys are choosing now that they don’t have to play Nike anymore.
