GolfWRX Spotlight: Nippon N.S. Pro Putter shafts
When it comes to golf shafts, we often focus on the driver, irons, and wedges. However, one crucial aspect that should not be overlooked is the putter shaft. Nippon has been making premium shafts for years with tons of wins on professional tours as well as a presence in many amateur bags. The constant innovation from the team over at Nippon now gives us a newly designed putter shaft for adding stability and enhancing the feel of your putter.
The Nippon N.S. Pro Putter shaft offers a unique and innovative step; shaft solution to enhance your putting performance. The shaft’s unique construction utilizes a structure that optimizes stability and reduces unwanted vibrations during the putting stroke. This enhanced stability promotes a smoother and more consistent roll, allowing for better control over the ball’s direction and distance. With a more stable shaft, your putter head is less likely to twist or rotate during the stroke, resulting in a more square impact with the ball. This increased stability translates into improved alignment and consistency, ultimately leading to more putts finding the center of the cup. Nippon is offering the N.S. Pro in three different weights; 120g, 140g, and 160g so you can dial in the feel for your swing.
Nippon N.S. Pro Putter 120g putter shaft
The 120-gram version has the green logo and is similar weight to a traditional steel shaft but built with the heavier modern putter heads in mind. The shaft still offers a more stout and stable feel while reducing unwanted vibration at impact.
Nippon N.S. Pro Putter 140g
The 140 and 160-gram shafts are made heavier to accommodate players who are looking for added weight in their putter shafts. These play stiffer than the 120-gram model and players can find that the additional weight can help add confidence and consistency to their putting stroke.
Nippon N.S. Pro Putter 160g
Each of the N.S. Pro Putter shafts come in at 37 inches long, so you can build a fairly long putter if you desire. All three weights are also offered in .355 taper and .370 tip sizes to fit a wide range of putter hosel types.
