LA Golf launches new $1,500 putter featuring Descending Loft Face technology
LA Golf has launched its first putter, which features an all-carbon head, large diameter anti-vibration shaft, stainless steel hosel, as well as Descending Loft Face Technology.
The combination of these components, namely the carbon composite head, allows for an over 50% larger sweet spot when measured against blade putters of the same head weight, according to the company.
To solve for consistency of launch angles, LA Golf acquired SIK Golf – the creator of the Descending Loft Face Technology. This technology features four descending degrees of loft, so regardless of shaft lean at impact, it is designed to yield more consistent and predictable rolls.
The technology is what DeChambeau has used for years, and he credits it – along with LA Golf’s proprietary anti-vibration shaft – for improving his game and bringing him his first major win at the 2020 U.S. Open.
“Most golfers miss the sweet spot the majority of the time, and when they do, it changes the speed and line of the putt. This causes players to regularly miss putts they would otherwise make, even if read correctly. LA Golf solved this issue by creating a putter that gives you a higher probability of hitting the sweet spot.” – Bryson DeChambeau
In addition, LA Golf’s ultra-stiff, large diameter putter shaft aims to prevent wiggle in the head at impact, ensuring the ball rolls straight on the intended line.
The LA Golf Putter, priced at $1,500, will be offered in several lengths with a Jumbo Lite grip. The LA Golf putter is available for pre-sale at LAGOLF.co now.

Sounds a lot like the old TEARDROP putters from the 90’s with their “roll face” technology. What goes around, comes around.

You can thank the Master of deception, smoke and mirrors magician, Don T. Cameron.
From magical inserts held by 3m tape to GSS mystical properties, Cameron has taught other putter makers; BS sells.
There you have it, more BS without real data to support it.
But, if Cameronites can list putters on Ebay for 20k because of ther magical GSS properties, I don’t blame other putter makers for adopting the BS marketing people has fallen for.
Be a sucker or not, the choice is yours.

Gianni is skilled at publishing boilerplate promotional language offered by manufacturers. No testing, not even an editorial opinion: just regurgitating whatever the P.R. firm and ad agency says.

With Odyssey pretty much dominating the putter market and perfecting a line of putters that covers all styles and aspects of performance for $300 and under, why would any company come out with a $1500 putter . It’s not a high MOI design, the most important factor in the putter helping make putts. It has a variable loft to help miss hits high to low roll better. It does nothing for side to side misses. Plus you can hit the sweet spot all day and miss putts because if you can’t read a green you’re screwed.

this technology makes ZERO sense even by their analytics… “To solve for consistency of launch angles, LA Golf acquired SIK Golf – the creator of the Descending Loft Face Technology. This technology features four descending degrees of loft, so *regardless of shaft lean* at impact, it is designed to yield more consistent and predictable rolls.”
why so worried about “shaft lean”??? if you’re putting that poorly then the ball will be all over the face and not within that tiny band where the loft is -1 or +1 degree…… this is a marketing gimmick for complete idiots only, who know nothing about golf at all.. thanks for the article gianni… way to go buddy!!!

Jack youre missing the point… i am more than aware that the loft on the putter is “dynamic” meaning different lofts for the bottom 1/4, the 1/4 above that, the 1/4 above that, and the top 1/4… if youre hitting poor putts with “shaft lean” then what are the chances that the “shaft lean” is cancelled out by hitting the correct 1/4 sliver of the face?

“The whole face is covered with the dlt”…. oh really????? wowowowoooo such a shocker, groundbreaking development, thank you for opening my eyes to this Jack!!!!!!!!!!!
youre missing the point here bud. if youre putting with “shaft lean”, aka putting very poorly, then what are the chances your mis-hit will be corrected by a thin sliver (25%) of the face having -1 or +1 degree of loft? youre already putting all over the face, why would the thin 1/4 of the face correct your mis-hit at all?
