Patrick Reed signs with PXG

Published

on

One of the highest profile equipment free agents remaining on the PGA Tour is a free agent no longer.

Prior to the opening event of 2022, former Masters Champion Patrick Reed has signed an equipment deal with PXG. Reed will instantly become the headline player for PXG, where he will join Zach Johnson, Joel Dahmen, and Jason Kokrak on the staff.

Signing an equipment deal is something new for the 31-year-old, as he has been a free agent for the majority of his career.

Previously, his bag has been comprised of a Titleist driver, TaylorMade 3-wood and Callaway hybrid. And his Grindworks irons.

Speaking on the signing, Reed said

“PXG is such a natural fit for me. I love the message they send and the brand they have built, and that takes a great team. I’m so excited to be a part of the PXG Troops and for what is to come.”

The terms of the deal are not yet reported, but at the very least, Reed will be wearing a PXG hat and using the Gen 4 driver; which he has been using for the past few months.

Reed added:

“The new GEN4 drivers are in a class of their own. I love the launch, workability and spin. The sound is pure and you feel like you can just unleash it. Safe to say, I’m very excited about this year.”

This website is full of a bunch of perfect people spewing judgment and hate on everything posted. I’m so thankful you aren’t members at my club, and I don’t have to associate with any of you.

The brand everyone loves to hate meets Phatrick, the person everyone loves to hate. Perfect match.

    Does PXG make a shovel?

It’s definitely not more than an opinion. Team tmag had 1 guy in the field this week. They also lost their best player to Callaway.

He’s signed just to play the driver and wear the hat.

Reading interpretation is not your strong suit eh? It says at the very least that’s what he’s playing. They only have a picture of him playing a driver and wearing hat. Terms of deal have not been disclosed.

Thanks for the reply Oppenheimer. His deal is for only the driver and hat. And yes, I do know that as fact.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

He has a Grindworks logo on said hat. It’s minor club deal. It’s mostly the hat and cash.

I can’t believe brand snobbery still exists, I’ve used Drivers from all the big brands, but and my current £205 PXG driver is the most forgiving and longest. Try these ?

    This is a perfect match.

And I mean that in the least-complimentary way imaginable.
