What GolfWRXers are saying about Srixon’s ZX utility iron

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing Srixon’s ZX utility iron.

WRXer ‘Mainehacker21’ is weighing up purchasing the club to replace his U85 and reaches out to members for their thoughts, who have been sharing their experiences with the UI in our forums.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • Kale_m: “I just got one. I really like it. Stock shaft in it right now. Easy to flight high or low. Very nice feel. I have hit 90% of the driving irons on the market, and this one is the best feeling to me.”
  • Richsgbox: “I play a ZX 23 deg with TZ6. It isn’t the prettiest from address, but the feel is absolute butter soft. Easy to flight and forgiving. Unfortunately, never tried the U85, but I’ve tried all the current OEM offerings.”
  • russ757: “Feel: ZXU. Flight: U85 goes higher. Forgiveness: U85. Sound: ZXU more crisp U85 more thump.”

Winning Footwear: Max Homa’s FootJoy Premiere Series Field golf shoes at the Wells Fargo Championship

Published

on

Max Homa outlasted Keegan Bradley with a final-round 2-under 68 in soggy Potomac, Maryland at the Wells Fargo Championship.

Shielding the affable Californian’s feet from the elements this week were FootJoy Premiere Field for the head-to-toe/full-bag FootJoy/Titleist staffer.

A decidedly premium golf shoe, the Field is a traditional-looking upper with a modern sole. Homa, as he’s a PGA Tour staffer and all, wore a spiked version of the full-grain leather golf shoe, but the retail version is of the spike less variety with VersaTrax+ sole technology. FootJoy calls attention to “multiple diameters of TPU traction,” meaning the Field has harder TPU for better on-course grip and softer TPU for quality traction on harder surfaces.

FootJoy’s Premiere Series Field golf shoes retail for $199.99 are available in sizes 7-15.

Check out Homa’s winning WITB here.
