GolfWRX Spotted: Mizuno ST-G220 driver on conforming list

On Monday, Mizuno’s new ST-G220 driver landed on the USGA and R&A’s conforming list a year on from the release of the brand’s ST200G driver family.
Mizuno ST-G220 driver
Along with a deep-looking face, the driver features a moveable weight as well as an adjustable hosel. Presumably, the “high” weight in the rear of the club is interchangeable with other weights/settings. The new addition from Mizuno also contains a more compact Wave Sole that is without a sliding weight. Per the conforming list details, text on the face indicates the “Beta Rich Forged Titanium face” featured in the 200G will be present in this model as well.
For comparison, the 200G is pictured below. Details on the ST200 family in our January 2020 launch piece, here.
What our members are saying:
- wcbjr: “Less adjustability and a smaller wave track? Interesting.”
- jvincent: “Looks better than the old G model.”
