What GolfWRXers are saying about compact 7-woods

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing 7-woods. WRXer ‘Underdog1924’ is on the hunt for a 7-wood that’s small in shape, saying

“Seems like a thing of the past, but does anyone make a compact 7 wood? I have a 915F 7 wood, but I’d love to find something a little smaller in shape.”

And our members have been sharing their suggestions in our forum.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • gridironsq: “Don’t know how easy it will be to find in a 7W, but the tour edge exotics E8 E9 E10 models all fit the bill. The beta-titanium versions are the bomb and smaller than the steel models. There are a couple on the bay. Another option is the exotics CB5 model.”
  • third-times-a-charm: “Titleist seems to be the only one making small 7w heads – 135cc if I remember.”
  • C_rad: “I have a Honma 737c or something like that that is very small. In fact, I have been wanting a 915f instead to go with my 4 wood. Pm if you want to work something out.”
  • eric61: “Cobra’s Radspeed Tour 5-wood might be of interest. It’s 17.5*, but you can loft it to 19*, almost into 7 wood territory. 148cc.”

Check out our snaps below, with even more photos in our forum thread here.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say on the new wedges below.

  • apsp_1: “These are instantly going in my bag! I love my MG2’s, but these are on another planet.”
  • OspreyCI: “Really well done by TM.”
  • TK3309: “Those are perfect. Great looking club.”
  • mrmikeac: “Look closely at the grooves. Looks like they have short little grooves inside the grooves. It’s like a groove inception.”

GolfWRX Spotted: TaylorMade’s new 300 Mini Driver at the 3M Open

Published

on

It’s 3M Open week, and TaylorMade’s new 300 Mini Driver is in town, with our tour photographer capturing a bundle of snaps of the latest addition from TM.

The Mini Driver hit the USGA conforming list last month and arrived at retail just this week, as the rise in popularity of the MD continues.

Check out our snaps of the club below, and take a look at even more photos here.

Here’s what our members have been saying about the new addition from TaylorMade but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • PhilWhitUK: “Looks good. I have been isolating with a brand new one of those sitting waiting for me. Tomorrow the range!”
  • QuigleyDU: “It’s completely nonsensical how much I like mini drivers. It makes no sense for my game, my bag, etc., but I like it, I want it. Probably gonna get it..”
  • averysdad: “I want. But do not need. Hitting my driver too good right now as well as my 3w. Yep….I’m getting one. My GolfWRX membership auto renews if I do it right?”
