KBS posted on their IG with a picture of Tour 125 S+ and Tour-V 130, making it seem like that’s what he currently has in the bag. Don’t know.

Interesting that he moved from the G410 fairway to a SIM (and the TM driving iron). I thought PING was pretty aggressive about having its tour staff use PING through the bag (with perhaps the putter and wedges as exceptions).

Sight line on Hovland’s putter set to aid taking putter back slightly to outside?

Are those i210’s the raw finish version?

WOW, Yet another win for the PING i210 irons, these irons will go down as one of PINGS Best.

You are Correct. These irons rule on the LPGA, Cink and now Couples moved to them. Now another win. 2 wins- Same day.

Are you saying he’s no longer using the irons with the bounce grind?

      Dec 7, 2020 at 7:42 pm

I as well thought the numbers on this i210 irons were completely removed due to changing the bounce.

Perhaps he went to a stronger loft configuration, with the 50* wedge in there. Probably wouldn’t need the bounce grind anymore (wasn’t he using retro loft when doing that? I’d still love to order a set but the bounce with retro loft on the 9 and PW being higher than they sell in most of their sand and lob wedges is just wrong!

WITB Time Machine: Rory McIlroy’s winning WITB, 2014 PGA Championship

It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Rory McIlroy outlasted Phil Mickelson at the 2014 PGA Championship. It’s even harder to believe McIlroy hasn’t hoisted a major trophy since his 2014 victory at Valhalla.

After a slow start to his final round, McIlroy tallied an eagle and two birdies on the back nine and his fourth major championship. Take a look at the clubs he played a decade ago in Kentucky.
