Adidas unveils limited-edition Superstar golf shoe

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Adidas Superstar basketball shoe, Adidas is launching a limited-edition version of the Superstar built for the golf course.

This special golf version of the Superstar features the classic Superstar design infused with golf-specific detailing.

The full-grain leather upper on the Superstar golf shoe is waterproof, and like the original Superstar shoe, includes the trademark rubber shell toe, distinct 3-Stripes in the midfoot, and prominent ‘Superstar’ name in gold foil lettering.

In addition, Adidas has placed six cleats and secondary lugs to the outsole in design to provide golfers with traction and stability on each swing.

Speaking on the new release, Masun Denison, global footwear director, Adidas Golf stated

“The Superstar is a timeless piece of footwear that’s recognized and worn by people all over the world. It’s always stood for those that are eager to push boundaries as well as stand out from the crowd, and we wanted to bring that style and mentality to the course.”

The limited-edition Superstar golf shoe ($130) will be available as supplies last on Adidas.com, through the Adidas app, and at select retailers beginning August 17 at 8 a.m. PT.

    I don’t know why they quit making the adidas Brady golf shoe or the Superstar 2g regular shoe. I have worn Superstars for the 50 years they have been in existence. I really wish they would bring these two versions of their shoes back.
