‘How many hybrids are in your bag, and what’s your age?’ – GolfWRXers discuss
In our forums, our members have been discussing hybrids and how many are in their bag. WRXer ‘NoTalentLeft’ kicks off the discussion saying:
“Looking at my bag and noticed six clubs in the bag have headcovers. Three of them being hybrids. It just snuck up on me that I’m turning into my dad, but he did it with woods. I’m 61 and play 3,4,&5 hybrids. Actually adding a six when it gets here.”

- andechr: “36 – Have carried 19* and 22* hybrids for at least the last 5 years. The 19* works well for me. The 22* is inconsistent, but slightly more reliable than my 4 iron. In most cases, I look for an excuse to hit 5 iron or 19* hybrid whenever possible.”

- gvogel: “67 years old, coming off shoulder surgery. I go Driver, 4-wood, 5-wood, and 7-wood, then 6-iron. I bought a G410 5-hybrid with the Tour shaft in R, but it is too much shaft. If the regular stock shaft works, it might make it into the bag.”

I am 63, currently an 8 index.
I carry no hybrids. I have 3-pw and a 4 wood
The 4 wood is one of the best club combinations as it is easy to Hit off the fairways and tee. Not quite as far as a 3 wood, but significantly easier and more reliable.
I hit it 220 off the fairway and I can choke up 2 inches and hit it 190. Hit it high or low…Very versatile
Just spend some time practicing with your 3 and 4 irons. They to are fun clubs to hit. The low bullet is awesome to hit. Escape from under a tree, hit from tight lie.
