What GolfWRXers are saying about their favorite new wedges

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing recently released wedges. WRXer ‘Kaexo’ created a poll and asked members to choose between the following: “Cleveland RTX4. Vokey SM8. Callaway MD5 Mizuno T20. Honma TW. TM MG2/High Toe. PXG 0311 Gen 2 Milled/Forged. Ping Glide Forged/3.0 and Cobra MIM”.

Here are the results as of June 1:

Our members have been discussing their choices and reasoning in our forums. Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • EBE-GOLFIN: “Just got the NEW Fourteens, FH Forged V1 wedges, 54* & 58*. I have played the Fourteen RM 22’s for several years even tho I would venture out and do stints with other wedges. Last being Titleist SM8’s. Just sold the SM8s. I have also played the Titleist TVD K grind, which I still consider a great wedge. Fourteen knocked it out of bounds with the FH forged V1. Forged feel, spin and sole (triple grind). Beyond any expectation I could have imagined.”
  • MitchelGolfing: “My new Maltby Tour Grind 56 wedge with the DBM finIsh is great. So much spin and the grind makes opening up the face a breeze.”
  • RH82: “RTX 4 is hard to beat. Great looks, raw option, s400 stock shaft and a great price.”
  • CJ17: “The Raw T20’s are just so good for me in terms of spin and distance control.”
  • MBBG: “T20s in my bag but the new Bettinardis are calling my name.”
