Not sure how the VAS 792 (not “793”) was junk. The extended length improved MOI, the offset was a book to many slicers (a lot more back in those days), and the anti-vibration badge became de rigueur for cast irons.
The look was extreme, which is why later versions were toned down and made to look more traditional. But the design features live on to this day.
