What GolfWRXers are saying about the best driving irons
In our forums, our members have been discussing driving irons after WRXer ‘jhave_1″ dedicated a thread to the topic. ‘Jhave_1’ asks fellow members which driving iron they feel is the best and why, and WRXers have been sharing their thoughts on the matter in our forum.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- Tim Sherwood: “Srixon U85 is amazing. So easy to hit, a little bit of fade bias (in my hands at least) which is invaluable in saving me from my big hook misses. It’s reasonably forgiving too.”
- taylormade4life: “For me: 1) Taylormade UDI 2) Srixon U65/85 3) TaylorMade P790 UDI 4) Titleist TMB. 1 and 2 are very close for me.. personally found the UDI slightly easier off the deck but the Srixon is awesome. Underrated to some degree for sure.”
- Z1ggy16: “Depends what you want. If you want a more hybrid-like flight, but it looks like an iron, then U85 is the best IMO, then maybe something like the new Titleist U510. If you want a more “players” look and lower spin lower launch flight, then P790, U500, TMB or maybe GAPR Lo would be where I’d look. There’s also Apex but… when I used it I did not like it at all, it was a very short blade length and an odd amount of offset.”
- Myherobobhope: “Check out Sub70. Love mine and it was $100… hard to beat price and functionality.”
- nzio: “I game the new Wilson Staff Model Utility, which I think is very underrated. Up there with the best.”
- C Bird: “I play a Vapor fly pro 3 iron with a modus 125x. It’s my favorite club.”
