Then-No. 1 player in the world Rory McIlroy began the week at the Wells Fargo Championship at 3-1 odds, if that gives you any indication of how well the Ulsterman was playing at the time. Just means the grips are on 10 degrees crooked. So when he grips it in alignment with the grip alignment aide the face is then 10 degrees open.

I remember reading an article where it said his grips are put on so when he grips with his logo the clubs are that far open. maybe this has changed but I doubt the clubs themselves are bent 10 degrees open.
