Tour Edge Exotics mini driver review + TaylorMade Spider ZT Max first look – Club Junkie
On this episode of Club Junkie, I put the new Tour Edge Exotics Mini Driver to the test and break down the performance, forgiveness, distance, and where it fits compared to a traditional driver or strong fairway wood. If you have been curious about adding a mini driver to the bag, this one is worth a look.
I also dive into the new TaylorMade Spider ZT Max putter that was recently spotted and discuss the growing zero torque putter trend. Plus, there is a closer look at the new Project X Titan Yellow shaft showing up on the PGA Tour and what makes it different from other profiles currently out there.

Club Junkie: Ping i540 irons review + L.A.B. VZN.1i putters and Graphite Design shaft sightings
On this episode of Club Junkie, I dive into the brand-new Ping i540 irons and talk about where they fit in the lineup, their performance on the course, and who I think they are really made for. There is a lot to love — and maybe one complaint in the new i540 irons.
The show also covers the new L.A.B. VZN.1i putters that have started showing up, plus some new Graphite Design Tour AD shafts spotted out on the PGA Tour and what makes them interesting. Wrapping things up, I might swap a few shafts into some putters and talk through how those changes might completely alter feel and performance.

Club Junkie’s Titleist GTS driver fitting results!
On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. We dive into the fitting process, talk about what made the biggest difference in performance, and break down how the different GTS heads and shaft combinations compare on the launch monitor. If you are thinking about a new driver setup for this season, there is a lot to take away from this one.
I also get into Brooks Koepka and the gear setup he brought to the PGA Championship, including the putters that caught my eye during the week. There are some interesting equipment trends showing up at the highest level right now and we break down what stands out.
To wrap things up, I talk about reshafting a few wedges, what I learned during the process, and swapping an adaptor onto a new shaft for another build project in the shop. A gear packed episode from start to finish for anyone who loves golf equipment and club building.

I agree with the ping eye 2 comments. A new version with a slightly different look perhaps this time with a ferrule for a cleaner look would probably be another great club that would appeal to those that remember them and to those who never had the chance. I’ve gone through hundreds of clubs in my time but letting those go was one of my biggest regrets. I had 1-SW beryllium copper model and remember exactly the price. $747 back in the mid eighties. Could still be a very playable club today

Hogan blades, sonar tech hybrids. Definitely go to clubs back in the day.

The Ping Eye 2+ is the only iron I can hit all the way to the 1 iron. I wish they would make it again with a more modern head, but with the same offset, heel and toe relief, and swingweight.

Agree, there is not one 15 and above handicapper that could possibly play a better club to this day…Ping has messed around long enough, they had the first and best forgiving irons and need to give up and make them again…would not hurt to cast them in this Country too.

Ping will make any of their old irons for you or a least they used too. Had a set of karsten I’s and I gave them my serial number and they made me a 1iron and lw to match my set. Should vé kept those too. Sigh

Keith,
What do you think the current G-series of irons are?

PING, toss out all the badge BS the added colors and just get the old castings and start re-making the best game improvement iron anyone could ever need…Ok replace the square groves, there updated…sell for $799 and you take back the iron market…
