The Best Game-Improvement Irons of 2017?
These irons are currently leading the vote: Callaway Apex, Mizuno JPX-900 Forged, Srixon Z565 and Ping i200.
Same drill as with the players irons, WRXers. In this thread, we’re asking you to vote on your three favorite game improvement irons of 2017 for our Members’ Choice award. We want you to vote based on your personal experience with the irons. Things to consider include distance, forgiveness, workability, trajectory control, looks and feel.

On Monday, a new TaylorMade carbonwood driver landed on the USGA conforming list.
The driver, seemingly called the Qi10 LS, features a Carbonwood sole, weight port as well as a T logo alignment mark. Per the list, the driver has been deemed conforming in three different lofts: 8, 9, and 10.5.

900 forged isn’t game improvement. That’s a low-mid capper iron.

My experiences led me to believe that the Apex’s are more forgiving than the 900 forged. I own the latter because I liked the looks better and assumed I could just improve my ball striking. Classic mistake. Still both great irons but if you don’t have time to practice– I’d recommend Apex.
