The cause of Rory McIlroy’s food poisoning

Published

on

Perhaps you saw the AP report this morning that Rory McIlroy is suffering from food poisoning and missed the WGC-HSBC Champions Pro-Am.

“After hitting a few shots on the range, he felt pain in his stomach and decided to stop,” the report reads. (And good move to retreat to the hotel room, we think.)

Thus, the Ulsterman is laid up, acting out this scene from Parks and Recreation, hoping to be well enough to take on Sheshan International in Thursday’s opening round.

So, the question the golf world is dying to know the answer to: What culprit laid the No. 3 golfer in the world low?

Fear not, golf fans, we have the answer. The villain: a club sandwich.

Screen Shot 2015-11-04 at 7.28.55 AMAnd in an historic moment for professional golf: This may be the first time an elite PGA Tour player resorted to the use of the particular brown, smiling emoji pictured above.

Get well, Rory, and maybe the eel was the way to go…

Feel badly for Rory – but what’s worse is food poisoning and having to drive 2 hours, and having to stop every 15 minutes to find and run to a gas station rest room.

F U, WRX, what the heck does that stupid TV that nobody watches have anything to do with his food poisoning? Why don’t you grow up and stop with this pedantic writing?

I was about to read the article for serious news to know what really happened and we get bombarded with the teenage social-media type crap childish reporting about some show nobody watches

Are you sure you used “pedant” correctly? It’s meaning is: a person who is excessively concerned with minor details and rules or with displaying academic learning.
