Mizuno to offer custom grips at no additional charge

Published

on

In 2014, Mizuno began offering steel shaft upgrades for no additional charge as part of its fitting program. On Friday, Mizuno announced that it will now offer custom grips at no up charge, as well.

The company recognizes that the grip is an important part of a properly fit golf club.

[quote_box_center]“There is no substitute for having the correct shafts and grips on a custom-set of irons, so we have empowered the customer to purchase with confidence the irons that are perfect for their individual Swing DNA by eliminating hidden costs on shafts or grips,” said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development at Mizuno, in a press release.[/quote_box_center]

Mizuno doesn’t carry CP2 grips, maybe your “excellent customer service of club” neglected to tell you that. Probably why you didn’t get the grips you want. In my experience when my customer orders a grip they don’t carry I default to their stock grip so I can install the ones they want myself.

I noticed the new JPXEZ irons had NDMC grips stock, a nice move I think.

Anyone know if you can order the stock Mizuno grips from Golf Pride? I love the grips my MP15s came with and want to put them on all 13 clubs when I regrip.
