Rory McIlroy debuts limited-edition Nike Lunar Control 3 shoes
During the final round of the 2015 Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday, Rory McIlroy debuted limited-edition Nike Lunar Control 3 golf shoes, which display the iconic Nike Swoosh in an uncommon spot.
The metallic, cool grey Nike Swoosh on top of the toe, combined with a bright orange and white upper, make the shoes both loud and unusual — exactly what Nike was going for.
[quote_box_center]“We set out to be disruptive with this shoe,” said James Arizumi, Nike Golf’s Design Director of footwear. “We challenge the status quo by placing the Swoosh on top of the shoe in the toe area, instead of on the side.”[/quote_box_center]
The shoes are made with a wide sole, and boast familiar technology also used in Nike’s Lunar Control 3 line including FlyWire for lateral support, full-length Lunarfoam on its midsole for lightweight cushioning and a carbon fiber midfoot shank for additional stability.
Nike’s limited-edition Lunar Control 3 golf shoes are still currently available at nike.com for $170.

I’m not sure about the shoe, but I know one thing, they are one of the best companies in the world for marketing!
