There’s hope, Tiger fans: Woods shoots lowest round in 2 years

Published

on

Tiger Woods shot his lowest round on the PGA Tour in two years on Thursday, a 6-under-par 64 in Round 1 of the Wyndham Championship.

Woods is currently two shots off the lead. That’s important because he must win this week in Greensboro in order to guarantee himself a spot in the FedExCup Playoffs, which begin next week at The Barclays. There’s also a possibility that Woods could earn a spot in The Playoffs with a solo second-place finish.

Woods got off to a quick start at Sedgefield Country Club, holing a flop shot on No. 1 for birdie. He made a total of seven birdies on the round against one bogey.

Enjoy this PGA Tour Live video of Woods’ best shots from Round 1.

He should start wearing the red shirt on Friday since that is usually his final round of the week.

He was one of 100+ players to break par today – good thing it’s an easy course / only kind he can play these days

He is so good. Nobody in the game is better. Just you wait till he gets that feeling and confidence back. Number 1 again.

    He’s losing to Derek Ernst…..
