I would absolutely love to see the Trackmen data on this guy with all his clubs. His numbers on his wedges have to be really unique.

Shouldn’t his lob wedge be marked “LX” instead of “VI”…

If he was using the proper roman numeral system it would be XVI but he is using VI ie: 6 as in 56

43.00″ driver…. !
Since I am never ever going to build myself a set of irons where every one is 37.5″, the most interesting thing in this bag is the short 43″ driver. With an SLDR 430 head, no less.
It’s a little hard to get any comprehensive stats on his driving. He’s played in three PGA Tour events, and made the cut in one. The only driving distance stat I saw put him at 290.4 yards. With a long drive of 337, and 78.6 % of fairways hit.
With a 43-inch driver. Forty-three inches.

What are his distances for these clubs?

Oh, and the swing is very similar to Moe Norman’s single axis swing. There are a number of people who teach a similar swing, the most well known is the Todd Graves Golf School. I believe Mr. Dechambeau taught himself to swing that way. Love it!!!! Nice to see that style swing finally make it into the winners circle.

There is a company called 1 Iron Golf in the US that makes all the irons the same length. Very good site…1 IronGolf.com. Site has a lot of great info.

I guess he likes it at that weight. After all, the shafts of the irons are all the same, so he’s maintaining the same feel for all of them, so he’s had them built that way. Totally psycho.

an important factor is to get all the head weights the same that is why it is difficult to make a set out of standard irons the short iron heads 8-9 and wedges will be too heavy the longer 4-5-6 iron heads too light these can be fixed with lead tape

I’ve never seen different irons that were all the same length. Does he have them adjusted strong?
leo
Jun 11, 2015 at 3:17 pm
the 4 iron is a little strong at 20 degrees all others look to be standard lofts 46 pw and 4 degree increments through the 5 iron i had a set of single length irons built several years ago it takes some adjustments and trial s to grt the distance gaps correct

So, where’s the WITB for TW when he shoots 85? That’s closer to what most of us shoot anyway. Just sayin.

Wasn’t the driving iron quite a bit longer than the other irons in the WITB from the other article on WRX?

Then why did you ask the question?
Andrew
Jun 10, 2015 at 3:27 pm
Because I didn’t know if I was wrong or he’d changed the length of the club or if I misunderstood. Why are you whining about the length of a golf club?
