Looks like he has a whiteboard in his driver instead of the rouge.

Does anyone know what grip hes using on his flat stick? I got the superstroke slim 3.0 but his looks thinner?

Best one yet Sara! I’m not a flat bill hat lover but when he switched hats I realized I like him with the flat bill… Lol! He is a really cool guy..hope he wins again soon!

Who is Sarah? What is this interview people are talking about? Am I missing something? Link anyone? More questions? Side note I like Rickie Fowler he seems like a good dude.

Very nice job by Sara. See, you ask those technical questions and the players can really surprise you with their answers.

Who knew (besides a Cobra rep) that Fowler played with his current irons at 1/2″ short and that he softstepped them x1 to make them play like standard-length DG X100’s.

Good prompting by Sara, and it prompted an interesting answer.

We all see the clubheads in all of the WITB photos. What these interviews are great for are specs and new stuff like ball-testing.

I enjoy watching Fowler when he’s playing. Sara is good too.

These WITB’s are boring. Come on Sarah, get some better camera work, and tell the players they can’t say “Um”. The players all seem to be struggling to explain their clubs–makes it very uninteresting for the viewer…

Notice how he would not say Titleist at all…I love these play on words. Vokey or v13x or 13v. Class act, cool guy. There’s not many golfers I would want to hang out with, but he is definitely one of them.

So it’s Golf W-R-X, not “golfworks?” I’ve always used the latter and anyone I know on the site uses “works” also. Who knew?!

      Aug 11, 2014 at 6:36 am

“Golfworks” sells golf components and repair equipment.

Thanks WRX. That was awesome. She seems to be getting more comfortable. Most of the Orange Flat Bill haters secretly wish they could pull it off but they’re mad because they’re afraid to try.

In regards to his attire. To me, it’s a professional sport- he should wear whatever he thinks is best for him, and it’s pretty obvious he is. I don’t believe there’s as much of a place for dressing like this in a casual round at your home course. It would be like a guy wearing a full on Miami Heat uniform and warm ups to a pick up game at the cages.

Great job getting Rickie and on the WITB. Ok, now start going through the pockets. Let’s find some embarrassing stuff!

Hey he coulda had the “Orange Grips”. Wonder how that would went over here? I don’t care about the colors. I just like watching him play golf, and if this game is gonna survive its the young kids he brings to the course with him that will carry Golf forward.

  26. Josh

    Dec 16, 2012 at 1:43 pm

I am surprised by the harsh words! I will admit the all orange outfit, bag, and clubs can be a biit much. But look at all the young kids following him. Rickie is growing the game in the young kids more than anyone else out there. Who in this forum doesnt want the game of golf to grow?

His white fairway wood headcover was made by Cru Golf. http://www.crugolf.com

Go visit any junior golf tournament to witness first hand the Fowler effect. My kids and others love him, they wear Puma, use Cobra, and covet the orange bright colors that has become Rickie’s branding. He has brought love of golf back for the juniors market . There is more to golf than winning every tournament and Rickie embodies those other elements. Fowler is to junior golf as Oprah is to women. That analogy might help others understand. I know more than 11 kids who are wanting those new 11 clubs.

Wow, some crazy remarks above. I think Rickie is so refreshing on the golf scene – love his bright colors and the fact that he loves what he is doing and is so good to his fans. No wonder legions of kids follow him and dress like him. Personally, I like that he looks a bit different than the average golfer. as khaki pants and white shirts can get boring. To me, golf tournaments are way more fun to watch when Rickie is in the field.

Rickie does market well but that all orange outfit is so hideous. He looks clownish every Sunday.

  31. John

    Nov 30, 2012 at 1:25 pm

Although his color may have to do with his alma Mater, it has nothing to do with his game or him being “childish”. It is part of him thinking outside the box, being different than your average golfer. Also, his signature orange probably makes him almost as much money as the people that do win week in and week out. Who was the last golfer other that tiger that could mass market products and golf fashion to the younger golfers as great as rickie does? He is a great role model and a great influence to all of the younger Golfers today.

All this talk of colors – where are the gasps from the media about a highly ranked pro changing 12 clubs all at once ? (Faldo) They think McIlroy is going to re-learn the game as a 36 handicapper.

The Cobra woods were pretty good last year, and I really like the look of the irons Fowler is switching to this year. The Trusty Rusty wedges are top notch…even with the “Call Me Maybe” stamp. (lol)

Wow! I can’t believe there are idiots who feel someone’s style of clothing is decreasing their performance. Ricky is a good kid who has a good head on his shoulders. He is also one of the youngest pro golfers on tour and has already won. Looper, Calhill and John you all need a reality check! Go look at his stats thus far in his short career. Earned his PGA Card in 2010 and was nominated Rookie of the Year over Rory McIlroy. He is also the youngest US player ever to make the Ryder Cup! Yeah but he better change is clothing color because he’s no good!

Well actually Cobra Puma golf’s corporate colour is orange, so its across the board, not just Fowler. The inspiration comes from his college colours, but its not just for him.

Does anyone know who manufactures that white headcover Fowler has on his wood? It looks pretty cool.
