MUST WATCH: Tiger Woods unleashes incredible stinger (with Toptracer) on the 18th hole at The Players

Published

Just days ago, Tiger Woods revealed the origin of his famous “stinger” shot. And after hitting one in the water off the 18th tee at TPC Sawgrass on Thursday, Tiger unleashed this ridiculous stinger draw that split the fairway on Friday, en route to a 1-under 71 (he started on the back nine on Friday).

Can’t. Stop. Watching … ???????????? #LiveUnderPar

Haven’t seen a ball flight that incredible since Ollie Schniederjans’ 2-iron at the 2017 Wyndham Championship. You know, this one…

More importantly, Tiger finished at 1-under through 36 holes at Sawgrass, which puts him right on the projected cut line. So it looks like we’ll see Tiger play the weekend at The Players.

Totally awesome. But then why does it seem like he has trouble drawing his driver more than a few yards?

    Pay attention, morons:

The game of golf will survive and flourish now that the Tiger is on the prowl and unleashing his “stinger” shot for all to view in awe, wonderment, admiration, reverence, respect, and the highest of esteem.

GolfWRX is on site this week at the Cognizant Classic —FKA the Honda Classic.

The first leg of the PGA Tour’s traditional “Florida swing,” the Cognizant Classic continues to be contested at PGA National’s Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, host course of the 1983 Ryder Cup and 1987 PGA Championship. The course is known for its famed “Bear Trap,” a three-hole stretch of holes that take their name from Jack “The Golden Bear” Nicklaus, who redesigned the course in 2002.

The Bear Trap includes No. 15 (a par 3), No. 16 (a par 4), and No. 17 (a par 4). All three holes involve water and have led to several big numbers from Tour players over the years.

Check out an assortment of general galleries, WITBs, and pullout albums below.

We’ll continue to update the galleries as more photos flow in from Florida!
