Callaway missed the boat not releasing those irons here in the states; I am still looking for a new set, my buddy who lives in Japan has been on it for awhile.

Diablo Octane 3 woods are gonna be selling like hot cakes on Ebay this week!

But it’s the shaft that makes Henrik’s club. And people couldn’t swing that shaft they all thought it was a pole

Well that is a great club head. Im sure he has it tweaked from the Cally guys as well. But you are correct, those Graf Blues feel like an X500 steel shaft.

If Callaway doesn’t like him using that old equipment they can always make him an offer he can’t refuse.

I don’t think he needs much more, he’s got the FedEx Cup, the Race to Dubai and a Major. That’s enough for a decade’s worth of just hanging around and just traveling lol

Great play from Stenson and Mickelson, what great play from both.
Was surprised to see Stenson’s 3 wood, I have a 4 wood of the exact model.
It’s likely at least 5-6 years old but love it.
Callaway had a great weekend for sure.

A Legacy Black 2-iron! Now that’s a unicorn, I was happy to get the 4-iron, 3-iron being very hard to come by. 2-iron? Forget it

    • Dando

      Jul 18, 2016 at 11:44 am

According to the sky commentators the “2” iron is actually a 3 iron with a jacked up loft

How many times did Stenson hit driver today? How many times in the entire 72 holes of play?

    • RedX

      Jul 18, 2016 at 1:29 am

Certainly used it sparingly Chuck but probably more often than a normal week. Certainly didn’t shirk it when it was needed. I recall driver on 1st and the difficult 11th in particular in the last round and maybe 1 (or 2?) more on the day. Always in play. Similar in the third round and more still in the 1st round from memory.

Still it must be a great luxury to see that his 3 wood was matching Phil’s driver for distance in any event

        Jul 18, 2016 at 6:16 am

He hit an iron off the first and made bogey. Great bounce back to make 63 though

Apologies. No driver from the 1st on Sunday for HS but three times for the day.

The Diablo was in the bag today for the Open Championship

Great win and totally deserved. Old irons won’t be great for Callaway’s marketing mind you…especially as they were Asia only model!

    Jul 16, 2016 at 10:55 pm

Great set. He just knows how to hit what he’s got. He’s not exactly a “gotta have the newest stuff twice a year” kind of guy.

      Jul 17, 2016 at 1:26 pm

      +1.
as “champion golfer of the year” suspect the bag stays as is for a while longer.
What a performance – hard to imagine a more deserving winner.

Straight up XR………..the driver performs. More amateurs should take note.

    • SirBigSpur

      Jul 18, 2016 at 9:19 am

Yeah and he straight up used it only ONCE during the entire final round… more amateurs should take note.

    There’s the Diablo 3 wood!

The xr16 fairway must be pretty good for it to knock his old Diablo out of the bag? He’s had that thing for years and used to hit it past most pros driver?

    • Jack

      Jul 17, 2016 at 1:56 am

Looks like he switched back to the Diablo again. July 2016.
