Jessica Korda gives a deep dive into her WITB

Published

on

Jessica Korda has been having a fantastic 2021, which began with a win at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions back in January for the eldest Korda sister.

This week, the World Number 14 gave an in-depth breakdown of her current WITB, which includes her revealing her preference for the Titleist TSi4 driver for its smaller profile.

Check out the video for the full breakdown, which has been transcribed below for those that would rather read.

Jessica Korda WITB

Driver: Titleist TSi4 (10 degrees)

Shaft: Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6 S

JK: “I grew up in an era where the heads were really small in woods, and I always struggled with the bigger clubhead look, and I really love the way this driver sets up. Obviously, taking away some spin on it has been helpful to hit it farther, and it’s definitely way more consistent.”

3-wood: Titleist TSi2 (15 degrees)

Shaft: Tour AD IZ 7 S-Flex

JK: “We’ve been tinkering around with the 3-wood; I just switched to a 16.5. Funny enough, I was hitting the 16 a little too far. I know..it’s a tough problem to have! But I really love this 3-wood; it’s awesome.”

7-wood: Titleist TSi2 (21 degrees)

Shaft: Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 75 S

JK: “I used to use hybrids, but now we switched to a 7-wood. And I know there’s so many jokes about a 7-wood, but this thing is amazing. The TSi2 is so good, I hit it really far but high, and I really love that.”

Utility: Titleist U500 (4, 23 degrees)

Shaft: ProjectX HZRDUS Smoke Black 90 HY 6.0

JK: “A new addition to my golf bag has been this 4-iron. It’s kind of a mix between a wood and an iron. It’s very consistent. I love the height on it, and it’s easier to hit that into a par 5.”

Irons: Titleist T100 (5-9)

Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 S

JK: “And then I went into the T100s. I’ve been using these since they came out. They are incredible irons. Basically, I go from 5 to 9-iron in those.”

Wedges: Titleist Vokey Design SM8 (46-10F, 50-12F, 54-14F, 58-08M)

Shafts: NS Pro Modus3 Tour 120 S

JK: “I have a bunch of wedges and stamping is one of those things I love. It puts a smile on my face on a long day on the golf course. I have the SM8s basically through the entire bag. And Aaron Dill has been doing such a great job with letting me be creative on my wedges.”

Putter: Scotty Cameron Select Squareback 2

JK: “This is my favorite weapon in the bag. I love my Scotty putter. I’ve been using a Scotty since I think I got my first one when I was 13-years-old. Best putters in the game. This baby’s made some clutch putts for me as of late, so hopefully it continues.”

Grips: Golf Pride V55

Ball: Titleist Pro V1

JK: “I’ve played a Titleist ball for a very long time, through junior golf, I think it’s (Pro V1) a great ball, and I’m really happy to use it.”

I wish there had been more detail. As is always the case, I find the LPGA witb’s to be the most interesting, for the simple and obvious reason that my swing is much more like Jessica Korda’s than Brooks Koepka’s. I’d like to know much more about her launch numbers and shaft choices.

This is such a selling point for general LPGA interest. I cannot imagine but that more (male) recreational golfers who have decent skills would be really interested in LPGA equipment if they bothered to give it some thought.

Also; she’s got what I think is a great looking Scotty Cameron, but I couldn’t really tell because there are no still pictures and in the video she barely got the head cover off of it.

Chuck it looked like a Squareback slant neck but retail its those Special Editions which are still expensive. Better off spending your $ on something other than Scotty.
Great call though and why I watch Woman’s golf. That and I love golf but these girls smoke it and play such a different game. More finesse with most but certainly some distance as well. Thanks Golfwrx. If you need pics it takes 2 seconds to search fellas. GolfWRX cannot be in all places all the time updating all their pics of 1000 golfers weekly.
