Adidas introduces limited-edition ‘Summer of Golf’ CodeChaos footwear
Adidas has unveiled its new limited-edition footwear – the CodeChaos ‘Summer of Golf’ – inspired by the 1967 ‘Summer of Love’ phenomenon that took place in San Francisco.
The tie-dyed version of Adidas’ new CodeChaos footwear was initially intended to commemorate the locale for the second major of the year, and per the company, now represent how golf has offered thousands of people some solace in recent weeks by playing the sport.
The colorful tie-dyed CodeChaos footwear features the words ‘Summer of Golf’ emblazoned on the tongue, and the spikeless silhouette features Twistgrip technology designed to give players precise traction where they need it most and include boost cushioning designed to provide unparalleled comfort.
Speaking on the release of the new CodeChaos ‘Summer of Golf’ footwear, Masun Denison, global footwear director, Adidas Golf said
“When we designed this shoe roughly 18 months ago, we clearly had no idea there would be a global pandemic that would impact all sports including our own. We knew that adding those three words on the tongue would make this shoe special, but those three words mean so much more now that we are actually able to get outdoors and play the game we love. It’ll definitely be a memorable summer in the history of our sport.”
The CodeChaos ‘Summer of Golf’ footwear will be available June 20th in limited quantities at adidas.com and select retailers worldwide and cost $170.
