Golf Pride’s latest grips: Z Grip Align, Tour Velvet Plus4, and Tour SNSR (2019 PGA Show)

Golf Pride’s latest lineup of grips for 2019 — the Z Grip Align, Tour Velvet Plus4, and Tour SNSR — will be available to purchase from March.

Z Grip Align

The Z Grip Align features a brushed cotton cord texture (as found in the original Z Grip), which aims to control moisture management, and Golf Pride have combined this feature with Align Technology. The Align Technology in the Z Grip Align seeks to provide golfers with consistent hand placement through a raised ridge on the back of the grip.

The firm grip on the Z Grip Align ( STD 50.5g, MS 59g) is designed to offer players maximum feedback on each shot.

Tour Velvet Plus4

Golf Pride’s Tour Velvet Plus4 features a more durable rubber and softer feel, which aims to provide both comfort and moderate feedback to players. With its larger outside diameter, the Tour Velvet Plus4 seeks to create the feeling of building up the grip with four extra wraps, while the reduced taper on this grip looks to provide players with excellent feel.

With the Tour Velvet Plus4, the tighter pattern, combined with the increased traction is designed to ensure a player’s hands don’t slip, even in poor conditions.

Tour SNSR

The Tour SNSR features a slightly refined pistol shape and comes in a 104cc, as well as a 140cc. The rubber on the Tour SNSR is 40 percent softer than any other Golf Pride putter grip, which aims to offer players the ultimate amount of feel on their stroke.

The grip’s broad paddle front is designed to aide both hand placement and face alignment, while the larger geometry in the upper hand is designed to help players lock in their grip to create a more consistent stroke.

The Golf Pride Z Grip Align, Tour Velvet Plus4 and Tour SNSR are all set to be released on March 1.

Additionally, GolfWRX learned some Tour Velvet 360 and MCC Plus4 grips will feature Arccos integration. We expect more information on the collaboration ahead of the early summer release.
