Tour Edge Exotics mini driver review + TaylorMade Spider ZT Max first look – Club Junkie
On this episode of Club Junkie, I put the new Tour Edge Exotics Mini Driver to the test and break down the performance, forgiveness, distance, and where it fits compared to a traditional driver or strong fairway wood. If you have been curious about adding a mini driver to the bag, this one is worth a look.
I also dive into the new TaylorMade Spider ZT Max putter that was recently spotted and discuss the growing zero torque putter trend. Plus, there is a closer look at the new Project X Titan Yellow shaft showing up on the PGA Tour and what makes it different from other profiles currently out there.

Club Junkie: Ping i540 irons review + L.A.B. VZN.1i putters and Graphite Design shaft sightings
On this episode of Club Junkie, I dive into the brand-new Ping i540 irons and talk about where they fit in the lineup, their performance on the course, and who I think they are really made for. There is a lot to love — and maybe one complaint in the new i540 irons.
The show also covers the new L.A.B. VZN.1i putters that have started showing up, plus some new Graphite Design Tour AD shafts spotted out on the PGA Tour and what makes them interesting. Wrapping things up, I might swap a few shafts into some putters and talk through how those changes might completely alter feel and performance.

Club Junkie’s Titleist GTS driver fitting results!
On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. We dive into the fitting process, talk about what made the biggest difference in performance, and break down how the different GTS heads and shaft combinations compare on the launch monitor. If you are thinking about a new driver setup for this season, there is a lot to take away from this one.
I also get into Brooks Koepka and the gear setup he brought to the PGA Championship, including the putters that caught my eye during the week. There are some interesting equipment trends showing up at the highest level right now and we break down what stands out.
To wrap things up, I talk about reshafting a few wedges, what I learned during the process, and swapping an adaptor onto a new shaft for another build project in the shop. A gear packed episode from start to finish for anyone who loves golf equipment and club building.

My whole WITB isn’t worth %500 !!!!
Ping G2 – 15.5º, 400cc driver
Powerbilt TPXL 3,4,5, and 7 fairways
Ping G2 4HL and 6 big flange irons
Ping Zing2 – 1 to 9 irons, Green dot, +1″ !!!!
Ping Zing2 W, SW, LS, L
Spaulding T.P.M 6 true blade putter.
—–
I mix and match the set for playing conditions. Oh, I also retired my 10.5º and 12º Powerbilt drivers… 400cc and 320cc respectively. The 15.5º G2 (Lady’s) driver is a recent addition with trade-in of useless putters costing me $0. I hope it works!!!

Andrew,
I think with another $220 left in the budget you can do better than an Acushnet Bullseye putter.

Taylormade M2 2016 $210
Nike VR Pro Limited 3 wood $50
Nike VR Pro 21 Degree Hybird $40
Nike VR Pro Pro Combo $200
Nike Engage 52, 56 60 square $150

Driver: $50
712U 2 Iron: $100
Srixon 965’s TI X100s: $500
Browning Wedge Set: $70
Old Blade Putter: $30
Driver technology really has only changed marginally since 2010 and don’t really need a fairway wood. Irons the most important thing to me for any set of clubs.
