Here’s a snippet from his interview with GolfDigest.com, with whom he chatted about the upcoming show.
[quote_box_center]”It was a hectic eight weeks, but it was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done,” said Parnevik, who described the show as a reality cross between The Office and Modern Family. [/quote_box_center]
A reality cross between The Office and Modern Family? That’s a lofty comparison. If The Parnevik’s can mix the style and success of those two shows, maybe they’re on to something.
Here’s a preview of the show that Jesper posted to his Instagram:
The Parneviks, which will air on TV3 in Sweden, will be broken into eight episodes lasting an hour each. In addition to Jesper and his family, it includes appearances from Swedish celebrities, soccer players and politicians.
Parnevik said he’s turned down plenty offers for shows like this in the past, but “ever since I’ve said yes, I’ve had anxiety for this. I hate bad TV.”
Reality TV and “bad TV” never go hand-in-hand, Jesper, so no worries.
An example of good TV.. or at least a good Youtube video? A “Gangnam Style” dance parody including Parnevik’s family, with cameos from Dustin Johnson and Fredrik Jacobson.
Even if the show doesn’t live up to expectations, Jesper has a day job to fall back on. He’ll be turning 50 on March 7th, making him eligible to play on the Champions Tour.
